Pentti Linkola—Like Us? A play written by Eeva Putro and Atro Kahiluoto, directed by Atro Kahiluoto, premiered at the Finnish National Theatre in 2023. Starring Eeva Putro, playing one of the five Pentti Linkolas, along with Timo Tuominen, Mia Hafren, Roni Martin (music), and Panu Varstala (choreography).
Pentti Linkola – Like Us? is not a traditional biography but a series of impressions, visions, glimpses, and personal insights into Linkola and his thoughts. All five performers take turns playing Pentti Linkola, creating a kaleidoscopic impression that allows the audience to identify with the subject through different perspectives.
The performance’s research material included Riitta Kylänpää’s Tieto-Finlandia award-winning book Pentti Linkola: Man and Legend (Siltala, 2017).
Fantaisie – Sexe, violence et plaisir: A monologue play written and directed by Jaakko Kiljunen, produced by Myllyteatteri, starring: Eeva Putro. Premiered at Ihana Kahvila/Vapaan taiteen tila in 2023. Putro also worked for the production as the dramaturg for the text.
Can one’s private sexual fantasy be dangerous to oneself or society? Are fantasies and dreams an essential part of making art, even of being human? These are some of the questions addressed in the Mylly Theatre’s play, Fantaisie – sexe violence et plaisir.
Eeva Putro plays the role of a theatre director obsessed with staging a performance based on the story of the porn literature classic The Story of O. The director invites the theatre artists of his dreams to a meeting to hear his boundary-breaking vision in the hope of getting them on board for this fantastic project.

The Spiritual Questions of Modern Humanity: Written by Eeva Putro and Kaisa-Liisa Logren, directed by Kaisa-Liisa Logren, premiered at the Myllyteatteri in 2022. Putro also appeared in the play as an actor with four other actors.
The Spiritual Questions of Modern Humanity is a play about the spiritual lives of ordinary people, their belief in the afterlife, and their thoughts about the beyond: Where were we before we came into the world, and where are we going? Do we have invisible helpers? Can rational people discuss their religious experiences over coffee without embarrassing themselves? Could a more open presence of spirituality in our daily lives meet our unspoken needs instead of raising fears of ridicule?
Det Svarta Fåret: Fabian Silén’s play, directed by David Sandqvist, premiered at Sirius Teatern in 2022. On stage: Eeva Putro, Aksininja Lommi, Paul Olin, Paul Hollander, Willehard Korander, Edith Holmström, produced by Sirius Teatern and Teater Mestola
Det Svarta Fåret (Eng. The Black Sheep) is a black, embarrassing comedy with Kafkaesque spices about generation gaps, sincerity vs. diplomacy and identities in a relativistic zeitgeist. It is a story of five human black sheep in a think tank and a mysterious teenager. When the change leader Lowe storms in with the slogan ‘Digital, dialogue and transparency’, it becomes a meltdown with the director Edgar and his mate Ulf. Bella’s hopes of finding her place in the think tank are shattered when it is revealed that the entire think tank is as deluded as Ulf’s son Slacker-Ove’s dreams of a breakthrough as an actor. Step by step, the character’s inner world is revealed, and their longing to find peace of mind and belonging in a polarised world and changing zeitgeist.
The play is Eeva Putro’s first theatre work entirely in Swedish. Her character, Bella, is a Finnish woman who has lived in Sweden for most of her life. Putro was noticed for her credible accents (”riksvenska” with a Finnish accent and Finnish Swedish).
Pillu – Intimate Spectacle: Written by Eeva Putro & Valto Kuuluvainen, directed by Elina Kilkku. A public table read at KOM-Theatre in 2018. On stage: Eeva Putro, Eppu Pastinen, Vilma Melasniemi, Kristiina Halkola
The play is based on tens of interviews of females who wanted to share their thoughts and emotions concerning their vaginas. Eeva Putro and Valto Kuuluvainen wrote the play based on those interviews.
An inspirational source for the project was Eve Ensler’s Vagina Monologues, which the writers wanted to update to reflect modern feminist views and also to bring it geographically and culturally nearer to the Finnish audiences.
Themes: feelings of shame and empowerment, violence, love, sex and feminist activism.
Zero – an empty spot! Written by Eeva Putro and Jukka Rantanen, directed by Jukka Rantanen, premiered at the Vaihtolava Theatre in 2012. Later, it was performed at the Finnish National Theatre, Pieksämäki Theatre Marathon, and Kajaani Poetry Festival. On stage: Eeva Putro, Jaakko Kiljunen
Based on the personal experiences of actress Eeva Putro, the play tells the story of what it is like to stay isolated in Russia with one’s own free will in a school that is not easy to be in but from which one cannot leave.
The student, struggling with feelings of isolation and inability, finds solace in Joseph Brodsky, a poet who emigrated from the Soviet Union in 1972.
To forget one life, one needs – at least – one more life. – Joseph Brodsky
